Dear Palmer,
Please refer to Captain Knox's letter to me (0.F. 23/11/1) of the 17th November and
(60). Chataway's letter to me (C.R. T. 1391/46) of the
(36)
20th November about British companies operating in China.
All we are waiting for now are the views of the China Association, whom you said in your letter (54296/47) of the 5th September you were consulting. I should be grateful if you could let ine know whether these have been received. If they have not yet been received, perhaps you would consider reminding the Association that we await their views.
I am sending a copy of this letter to Captain Knox and to Chataway.
-Y
Yours sincerely,
Abscott
